Therapy technicians are vitally important to providing a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff. The therapy technician is highly responsible for clinic throughput. They pick up equipment and toys used in therapy sessions, sanitize them, and return them to the appropriate location. The therapy technician may assist with set up for patient treatment or perform a variety of assigned clerical tasks. Sometimes, the therapy technician may serve as an extra set of hands in patient care activities as requested and under the direct supervision of a licensed professional. Such activities may include, but are not limited to, functional mobility training, strengthening, and ROM exercises and activities of daily living.
