Job Description

The Member Services Coordinator reviews and keys manual 125 claim reimbursement submissions. Processes and approves eligibility changes to member database to produce an accurate monthly billing statement. Sends enrollment files to carriers and works with carriers and members to correct error reports and update database by performing the following duties.

  • Updates and maintains customer database by setting up new employer groups with employee benefits, processes administrator online access, processes employee enrollments and changes based on eligibility guidelines and approves and rejects changes as necessary. Reviews manual 125 flex reimbursement requests to determine eligible expenses and keys claims to system. Works with plan administrators and members to educate them on flex requirements for reimbursements.
  • Reviews daily error reports to determine any action required to resolve potential coverage issues. Works monthly overage dependent report to review dependent eligibility status and monthly life conversion report to send letters to employees who have lost coverage.
  • Initiates and sends the electronic eligibility files to carriers. Processes any errors received from carriers once files are loaded into their system.
  • Produces monthly billing that generates a billing notification to administrators. Responds to verbal and written inquiries from employers regarding eligibility, administration, and billing.
  • Works in a team environment to identify process improvements to share with leadership.
  • Images and indexes employer and employee forms, emails, and documents.
  • Provides online enrollment support to plan administrators and customers.
  • Provides additional administrative support for all employee benefits which includes problem identification, research, and resolution.
  • Gathers and provides evidence for quarterly SOC audit.
  • Other testing, projects and duties as assigned related to the job.

Requirements

Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Required Work Experience:Two to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technology Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Office

Required skills or trats for the position:Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work assignments; ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and quality. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical and research skills with great attention to detail. Strong math and accounting skills. Solid problem identification and resolution and decision-making skills.

Specialized Training/Certifications:Must be willing to obtain Iowa Accident Health and Life insurance license within the first year of employment.
