Inside the Role

The Technical Resource Guide Lead uses technical knowledge of truck systems and engineering design processes to plan, organize and control resources, procedures and timing for development and publication of engineering design documentation. This will require analysis of design impacts to the customers and development of detailed work plans and schedules, project estimates and status reporting.

This position provides technical and quality assurance feedback to engineering as well as technical guidance to a contracted team of developers. They are responsible for meeting project milestones as part of each major projects launch readiness. This effort requires extensive technical knowledge of truck components, features and engineering design & release systems. This position will also provide guidance to our external customers during development of their Vocational equipment and controls

Position offers a starting salary range of$82,000 - $104,500 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Provide Project Management for documenting of continuously evolving chassis and electrical systems due to engineering design changes.
  • Manage workflow into and out of remote contracted staff.
  • Explore engineering and manufacturing production design data systems to confirm document information accuracy.
  • Evaluate designs for completeness and provide feedback to Engineering
  • Coordinate with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
  • Determine the impacts of engineering changes to existing documentation based upon development in both very small and very large projects.
  • Generate innovative ideas for audience appropriate content presentation and workflow efficiency.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field and prefer 2+ years of relevant experience OR 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • 5+ years of automotive or aircraft product development experience


Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Automotive Background is preferred
  • CAD Modeling/Drafting experience
  • Basic electrical/electronic knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of Automotive systems: Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical
  • Project Management Software experience
